I play clarinet and bass clarinet, and when no-one’s listening some piano, too. I played in the Brown University Orchestra for four years and in the Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra for two years before that. At Brown, I also played in Yarmulkazi (the Brown klezmer band); in pit orchestras for productions of Sondheim’s Merrily We Roll Along, Bernstein’s West Side Story, and Offenbach’s Orpheus in the Underworld; in a traditional jazz combo; and in various other groups, including the Brown University Chamber Orchestra and for Fermata, a group that plays student compositions. Since then, I’ve played with the Universitair Harmonieorkest Leuven (KU Leuven’s wind ensemble) and a traditional music group in Cyprus at the Fengaros Music Village.
